"Insourcing of funds" is a term that refers to the strategic plans, activities, and pathways that culminate in the increase, multiplication, and sustained growth of an economy. Crucially, it relies entirely on internal factors and local assets, without a total dependence on external aid. Looking at the Nigeria of today, our sole dependence on crude oil has led to unthinkable hardships among the masses. What is the way out, particularly in this current economic era? This is the exact reason why people like me want to look inwards. Some might support borrowing money from institutions like the World Bank to drive the economy. While that is not a inherently bad idea, it inevitably leads to a heavier debt burden, which further worsens our economic situation. This is why I am preaching the insourcing of funds. Admission into Nigerian tertiary educational institutions has in recent times become a game of chance, this is because, many students apply, but few are chosen. This year again, many students will fail to secure admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education among others. I do not want you to be part of this group of candidates.  Are you a student aspiring to write JAMB's UTME 2025, for the first time, after so many trials. I have good news for you as your days of disappointment are over. You can score 300 and above, without sweat, without examination malpractice, without being an exceptional genius. The thing is, you don't actually need to be too intelligent to score high in UTME.  The University of Ibadan (UI) has explained why Mr. Korna Anongo Terhemen who dropped out of medical school was not re-admitted. Terhemen, 43-year-old had in a recent interview with a popular news platform, narrated how he dropped out as a 500-Level medical student at UI and ended up a porter, pushing a wheelbarrow for a living in Gboko town, Benue State because of depression. A statement released by the school’s Director of Public Communication, Olatunji Oladejo, entitled ‘Facts about Mr. Korna Anongo Terhemen who dropped out of UI medical school’, explained that Mr. Korna had ceased to be a student of the institution, having not registered for 14 years, out of which he had severally been away without any form of official permission Terhemen was admitted into the University of Ibadan in the 1996/97 session (as a medical student) and by 2000 he moved on to the University College Hospital before dropping out. When I asked my parents why I should go to college, they gave me nebulous reasons that I still cannot understand: "You need to find yourself.", "Roundout your knowledge.", and "Because it's what you're supposed to do after high school, like everybody else."   How would it sound if you heard someone never went to secondary school not to talk of a higher institution or had a medical degree, yet became a surgeon? Unbelievable, right?
